World Cup creates School Holiday frenzy

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) and SEDA have recently finished delivering the successful mid-year School Holiday Programs.

Approximately 500 girls and boys across metropolitan Victoria have been treated to a couple of days of football fun during the school holidays.

Children aged 5-12 years olds attended the programs which were held in Burwood, Darebin, Doreen, Seaford and Sunshine. Although some had to brave the icy weather, many walked away with big smiles and an excellent holiday football experience.

Students from the  FFV Sports Development Program undertook the coaching during the programs, providing a number of fun skill sessions and small-sided games.

On top of all the excitement and fun of the days, each participant received a showbag full of goodies to take back to school with them. The highlight for many was the chance to play a game inside a fully inflatable pitch.

The success of these holiday programs means FFV and SEDA are hosting another round of programs in the September break. All those who can’t wait until the holidays can sign up for FFV’s new Miniroos program to ensure their football cravings are satisfied. Details can be found by visiting the FFV website and clicking on the Miniroos Football button.
